White Limba (Terminalia superba), also known as Korina, is a tropical West African wood valued in metaphysics for its ability to balance light and dark energies, making it a versatile tool for both positive, uplifting magic and defensive work. It is often associated with the elements of Earth, Fire, and Spirit, making it effective for grounding and passion-based workings. White Limba is known for having a light, and relaxing energy. It is considered a gentle, yet resonate wood, often associated with a “bright” feeling, which makes it suitable for calming, peaceful, and uplifting spiritual work.

While Black Limba is often used to repel dark magic, it is considered a more neutral, yet powerful, wood that can move between positive, light energy and darker, defensive natures. As a wood that transcends both, it is used for strengthening, grounding, and personal growth. It is also considered highly intuitive and suitable for scrying (divination). White Limba is sometimes used to help with mental clarity and to create a more focused and centered state. Its “airy” nature is thought to help clear away mental noise or energetic fog.

The Limba people of Sierra Leone, from whose region the tree originates, have a rich cultural and spiritual heritage, often using local materials in ways that connect them to their natural environment and ancestral traditions. The Limba people make wood carvings for use in ceremonies to honor ancestors and protect the community.

White Limba is often chosen for its light, natural appearance, making it ideal for creating bright, elegant, and refined, yet sturdy, items. Instead of sporadic black lines throughout, White Limba has a more uniform color devoid of black. As a light-colored wood (often varying from white to pale yellow or gold), it is symbolically linked with clarity, purity, and positive energy. It is considered a wood that balances a light color with a warm, bold, and resonant character, making it popular for high-end, custom, and spiritually-themed, items.

It is known for its stability and resistance to deformation, which is interpreted as providing a steady, secure foundation in life. While it is a relatively soft wood, it is considered stable, making it a reliable tool for spiritual practices that require a gentle, and consistent energy. White Limba embodies a quiet depth, balancing subtlety with strength.

Due to its widespread use in musical instruments, White Limba is sometimes associated with creative energy, harmony, and resonance. The wood is known for its ability to produce a balanced tonal quality, which is often translated into bringing harmony and stability into a space. Due to its use in high end instruments, it is believed to assist in tapping into creative flows, particularly those involving sound, music, and vibration, as well as artistic expression, creativity, and unconventional paths. Often called the "holy grail" of tone woods, it is associated with amplifying sound and vibration, showing that it is good for communication, voice, and manifestation. It is also associated with pursuit, dedication, and achieving high-quality results
