Scrying Mirror 12 inch 12R1

This scrying mirror is handmade from a special glass, It is not painted, the glass itself is black. This is the largest size we make at  about 12 inches in diameter. We put a resin on the outer edge to protect the edges, and there is a solid wood back on it. 

These are used to scry with. Scrying is a method of divination and when using this type of tool is usually done nocturnally or where there is no sunlight. 

These mirrors are made by hand during the light of the full moon, including the day before, day of, and day after. If they are not completed within that time then they have to wait until the next cycle.

Scrying mirrors, those made this way are to never be exposed to sunlight as this burns out the essence within them. Mirrors are charged by the light of the full moon.

When we start creating these we first acquire the special glass and then begin a several month long process of purging the light from the glass. After the glass has been purged we then begin crafting them. From cutting to finishing every step in done during the time the moon is full and is visible in the sky. During the day they are locked away and protected from the light. As a last step we paint the edges and back with pretty colors, these are only for aesthetic function and have no meaning or effect other then to look pretty.

Each mirror is then placed inside a specially made double lined bag and the cords are drawn closed and tied. This is how you will receive the mirror. The bags are made to store the mirrors inside of when not being used.

Scrying mirrors are also referred to as a black mirror and have more functions then just scrying, they can be used to cast with as well, but only during nocturnal rites.
