Sapele's properties fluctuate from grounded to fiery and back again. This can make the wood unpredictable to less experienced holders. It will bond, but over a longer period of time. But even with this time delay, when decided on being protective, it can be fiercely so. Once sapele forms a relationship with an individual, it can be quite deep. One must be mindful of their mood before working with sapele.
