Hand Carved Soapstone Pendulum

Pendulums have been used for a very long time in divination and other uses within the spiritual aspect. 

Pendulums have been made using many different materials and items throughout their use. In more modern times they are made from inexpensive and easily sourced materials, some even being colored plastic.

Ours we make in the way of our tradition. First we hand carve each one without the use of power tools of any kind. Files and focus are the tools used. Next we smooth the surface through sanding and polishing ( some marks may remain as the material does remember its past). Next we being the process of creating them with some essence, during this process they are given a coating of wax, which also brings out the inherent colors within the stone. We then weave the cord directly onto the pendulum. after this we store them in a container for safety ( the little wooden trunk. Which you can use whatever you desire. We include some cloth as padding for it as well as the wooden trunk/box).

Or tradition uses soapstone as the medium to carve the pendulums out of. This material is soft and if dropped will break, So don't drop these or set them down hard. Treat them as if they are what they are, a sacred and special item that require care and proper handling. 

One of the ways that pendulums are used for divination is to ask it simple questions that give yes, no, unknown answers. Begin by holding your pendulum by the cord. Then ask your pendulum to show you "yes". Then tell it to stop. Then to show you "no". When you get a response that is not one of these then that means the answer is unknown or unknowable at this time. When you want your pendulum to stop moving tell it to stop.
